2026 Women Preserving farmland for the Future: Starting the Conversation

Join us for the 2026 Women Preserving Farmland for the Future: Starting the Conversation. Monday, August 24 to Wednesday, 26, 11:30 a.m. to 4p.m. Lunch is included.

Presented by the Appalachian Resource Conservation & Development Council, facilitated by Dana York of Grand Oak Farm and Green Earth Connection. This workshop will equip women land owners with the tools and knowledge they need to preserve their farmland for future generations of farmers.

Each course will consist of 3, 4-hour sessions directed by women professionals in the industry and will include a meal. Each participant will receive a toolkit of resources including the University of TN's Planning Today for Tomorrow Farms - A Workbook for TN Farm Families.

2026 Farmer Veteran Stakeholders Conference

This year’s conference is FVC’s 12th annual stakeholders conference, being held on Oct. 25-27th, 2026, in Williamsburg, Virginia, at the Greater Williamsburg Sports and Events Center.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Scaling Sustainably: Practical Innovation for Small & Mid-Sized Veteran Farms.”

2026 Veterans in Agriculture Conference

The Tennessee AgVets Opportunities on FarmLand (TN AgVOLs) Program is thrilled to announce its first annual Veterans in Agriculture Conference. This project is a collaboration between Appalachian RC&D, the University of Tennessee (UTCFM, TN AgrAbility, UT Extension), and several other regional partners to support veterans in farming.

During this two-day conference in Nashville, we will connect with other Veterans in Ag and learn from farms and agricultural professionals in the region. Each ticket will include a light breakfast and lunch on both days of the conference. This conference is only open to Veterans and their families.
